Note to investors: Optimus highly recommend that you choose whichever service best suits your experience and your familiarity with futures markets – don’t make a choice based on commission rate.

While Optimus understands your desire to save money, paying for the appropriate degree of support can save you thousands of dollars that you otherwise might lose by making errors and missing opportunities. We’d like to help you learn more about the futures/commodities markets, and will be happy to move you into a more suitable commission schedule, when you have the knowledge you need to effectively trade on your own. Online Execution

Suited for individuals that feel comfortable with computers and trading over the Internet.

Traders must be able to execute any type of order and follow account activity on their own. If Optimus’ computer trading systems are experiencing technical difficulties, you may execute trades through one of our brokers over the phone, and online trading commissions will still apply. Similarly, Optimus will not charge you more if you occasionally must execute an urgent trade over the phone because you are not within reach of a computer.

Discount Execution

Your orders can either be routed to our professional trading desk, or can be placed with a broker who will execute your order on the computer. Either way, you will receive your confirmation immediately. Consideration will be given to discount traders who want to execute their orders directly with a floor broker on the trading floor.

Broker Assisted Execution

Suited for traders who feel comfortable with the futures market, but who want a working relationship with an experienced broker who will help them establish positions in trade markets that best suit their risk tolerance. These traders also want help in placing stops, and want reminders of last trading days.

Your broker will help you in placing all contingency orders and set price alerts geared towards markets in which you are trading.

Full Service

Suited for those who have a limited understanding of the futures market, and who are trying to gain a thorough understanding of how the futures market works.

You will develop a one-on-one relationship with one of our experienced brokers who will dedicate all the time that is needed to fully understand your needs and goals for trading in the commodity futures market, and will develop with you a strategy that applies the maximum reward, according to your risk tolerance. Your broker will thoroughly explain to you how the markets work, and will guide you through the placement of both simple and complex orders. This service is perfect for any beginner who wants to learn how to be a commodity pro.
